Assistant Continuous Improvement Manager

As the Assistant Continuous Improvement Manager for a large high volume manufacturing site, which is extremely fast paced, you will provide support for the site C.I Manager in developing and implementing C.I initiatives that deliver sustainable financial benefits and YOY improvements. Working with stakeholders across the site to identify and deliver cost base reductions, as well as coach and facilitate a program of improvements. Creation and execution of Improvement plans and supporting the group Manufacturing Excellence program.
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will need to have a clear understanding and application of continuous improvement tools and techniques, for example any or of some of the following will be highly desirable – DMAIC, SMED, 5S, Centre Lining, SIC, Kaizen and Line Balancing. Alongside this we are looking for someone to have worked or had a focus on continuous improvement projects within a manufacturing environment.
This role will involve working cross functionally across Operations, NPD, Technical, Projects, Planning & Engineering Teams, relationship building and communication will be key as we continue our group strategy across all our bakeries on the important role continuous improvement plays.
Any line management experience would be beneficial, as would experience of working in a unionised environment.
