General
- Welcomes customers when they arrive at the building.
- Introduces customers to the menu and advises of daily or seasonal menu specials.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, allergens and pricing.
- Takes customers’ orders for food and drink by entering them into the EPOS system.
- Prepares food and drinks (including artisan coffee, ice creams and grab & go items) and serves them to customers.
- Replenish stock as needed, informing Duty Manager/ Chefs at the earliest opportunity if stocks are running low.
- Builds a rapport with customers and ensures they are satisfied with their order.
- Processes cash and credit card payments.
- Maintains familiarity with menu items and specials and makes recommendations to customers.
- Meets with Duty Manager and kitchen/production staff daily or regularly in order to learn about menu changes and specials.
- Ensure the highest possible standards of presentation by ensuring that food displays and premises are maintained in accordance with specifications and cleaning schedules.
- Present a smart, professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Maintain standards of safety and hygiene per legislation and other statutory requirements.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss or damage and act as appropriately
- Carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team within the general scope and purpose of the job.
Café/Pizzeria
- Passes customer orders along to kitchen staff for preparation.
- Collects food orders from the kitchen, verifies that they are correct, and serves them to customers.
- Removes used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables.
- Sets tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refills condiments.
- Contributes towards the delivery of hospitality and events around the site including the set-up, service and clear down as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Customer Service Experience
- Coffee Barista and or/ Food and Drink service and/or preparation experience (Desirable)
- Food Hygiene Certificate obtained within the last 24 months (Desirable)
- Experience with Food Allergies, Special Diets and Labelling (Desirable)

Working hours – 40 hours per week – flexing up to 50 in summer and down to 30 in winter
