The post holder will be responsible for supporting the existing team in the creation of ice cream
- Assist in the day-to-day manufacturing of our dairy and non-dairy ice cream
- Maintain high levels of hygiene within the facility throughout the production day
- Keep up to date records of all production to allow full traceability required to adhere to the Food Act 2014
- Receive and record deliveries accurately to allow full traceability required to adhere to the Food Act 2014
- Adhere to recipes to allow cost effective production
Essential
- Some experience in a food setting
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team or alone
- Flexibility to work different schedules based on business requirements as and when required
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Good attention to detail in all aspects
- Ability to pick up new skills quickly
Desirable
- Level 2 Food Safety
- Level 2 HACCP
Whilst experience in any manufacturing is desirable, it is not essential, but some knowledge of basic food safety would be helpful however full training will be given. The role can be demanding physically, with heavy lifting and long periods of standing and some work within freezer stores so please do consider this when applying.
As an apprenticeship role, you will be required to commit to apprenticeship learning through Coleg Cambria over a minimum period of 18 months alongside the role, all assessments and observations will be completed on site at Chilly Cow HQ – there is no requirement to travel to learn for the apprenticeship.
Applicants must have achieved their English and Math’s GCSE at no lower than a E grade to apply.

Chilly Cow Ice Cream is a family run business supported by a small but committed team. We have significantly increased our production capacity and need extra help with creating our yummy ice cream for our customers across the North and Mid Wales communities. Our Chilly Cow family includes our team and our customers – are you the right person to join our team? The right candidate will be able to learn processes quickly, operate production equipment effectively and have knowledge of hygiene requirements of the catering industry, although full training will be given.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR PRODUCTION ROOM AND THE TYPES OF MACHINERY THAT WE USE WE SADLY CANNOT CONSIDER ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18.

Probationary Period
There will be a six-month probationary period, this will give us the opportunity to make sure its right for you and its right for us.
Holidays
You will receive the statutory allowance of 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata) any bank holidays that fall on your normal workday will be included in holiday allowance.
