Oscar Mayer Wrexham is part of the Oscar Mayer Group, a UK-wide company specialising in manufacturing prepared foods for the top UK grocery retailers such as The Co-Operative, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Waitrose. With 1,500 employees, the Wrexham Industrial Estate site is a very fast-paced operation, with an impressive 2 million ready meals being produced each week.

We are now recruiting across a variety of roles, for our Wrexham production site, for immediate start. We are looking for Production and Packing Operatives, Machine Minders, Line Leaders and Kitchen Operatives/Chefs. These new positions will support the food production operations, based in either our low or high care production or packing departments.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Area Supervisor, the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for a variety of the following duties dependent on roles:

• Working on the production line assembling products
• Cooking and/or preparing ingredients for sauces
• Packing of finished products
• Quality checking at all stages of production
• Ensuring correct product labelling
• Loading machines with raw ingredients
• Ensuring the work station is kept clean and tidy in line with food hygiene standards
• Assisting with the achievement of production targets
• Demonstrating the competent application of good manufacturing practices required to consistently operate to high standards of food quality and food safety
• Complying with company hygiene policies and procedures when undertaking operations while maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
