We are looking for a confident person with good people skills and a genuine love of food who is committed to offering exceptional customer service.

Working within our Visitor Centre Team we are looking for a confident tour guide to inform, inspire and entertain our customers.

When not carrying out Tours your duties will be to support our amazing on site shop and online webshop, stocking, packing and retailing our lovely range of products.

Our current team is small, committed and friendly and will give you the support and training that you will need.

• This is a seasonal role between March and the end of September.
• This is a part time role with regular hours during the holiday seasons, particularly Easter and summer.
• Hours per week range from 16-30 as required.
• Please note, this role includes some weekend working
• We are proud to offer the Real Living wage of £10.90/hour

Job Description

• To greet visitors, sell tours, take bookings and to give information.
• To lead educational guided tours and tutored salt tastings.
• To serve customers efficiently, speedily and courteously.
• To handle cash, cheques and credit cards to the standards laid down in the set procedures.
• To control and rotate stock efficiently and carry out and record monthly stock takes in an accurate and efficient way.
• Administer, pack and dispatch internet sales as per the SOP & guidelines.
• To work in other departments when requested, particularly the office assisting with general administration, and any other duties as required.
• To respond to customer emails and maintain our customer database as requested.
• To keep the meeting room, viewing gallery, shop, visitor centre and toilets clean and tidy at all times, complying with health and safety standards and the Staff Handbook.
