Job Description

We are looking for a forward thinking, organised individual to manage our distillery and sales outlets while our current manager is on maternity. Any applicants must have previous managerial experience.

Responsibilities & Duties

Day to day managing of the distillery including:

  • Managing staff and ensuring jobs are being carried out, including rotas and to do lists
  • Organising and maintaining weekly meetings with staff and directors
  • Organising distilling schedule and stock
  • Spearheading point of sales and sales strategy
  • Ensuring orders are completed in time and shipped promptly
  • Continuing work for HACCAP and SALSA
  • Organising and applying for markets/events and managing market staff
  • Organising running of farm shop
  • Responding to emails
  • Managing website and social media
  • Maintaining hygiene and safety standards

Qualifications & Skills

Previous managerial experience of a business is required

Candidates must:

  • Be able to work on their own, using their own initiative
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Have project management skills

  • have excellent communication skills
  • have good time-keeping

  • hold a full valid UK driving licence

Additional Information

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, plus occasional weekends

Contract: Maternity cover- 6 months with opportunity to carry on in similar role afterwards
