Llechwedd Slate Caverns

The Slate Caverns located in Blaenau Ffestiniog is an ideal visitor attraction for the whole family with breath-taking views across Snowdonia.

There is a gift shop, a slate workshop, a large café, Victorian coffee shop, the Quarryman’s Arms pub for locally brewed beer and other local drinks and a grill for sunny days where you can buy a Welsh beef burger.

There is a bilingual menu with local delicacies including lobsgows and snacks made with the Cavern cheddar cheese which is matured in the slate mine. This is also available to buy in the shop. The Slate Mountain Glamping offers a welcome tray of Welsh tea, local milk and snacks.
