Wales. A Food Destination

Food Provenance

Who is this toolkit for?

Each year Wales hosts a large number of events from music festivals to vintage car shows. These events provide an opportunity to showcase the diverse range of food and drink products on offer and to promote Wales’ identity as one of the leading food destinations in the world.

Food and drink is an integral part of every event and a profitable source of revenue for most event organisers. Research shows that, on average, visitors spend over £10 on food at all day events. This figure rises to around £20 a day at events like music festivals were visitors stay overnight.

This toolkit demonstrates how event organisers can work more closely with food producers to promote local food provenance.
