Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Support role to support the smooth operation of the production team. Hygiene Manager

Skills:

Responsible for the continuous improvement of site hygiene standards, ensure hygiene processes are followed and verify the control of these processes through testing and analysis.

  • Train and motivate a talented hygiene team,

Operations Manager (FMCG Manufacturing)

Role:

As an Area Operations Manager, reporting in to the Bakery Factory Manager you will be responsible for co-ordinating an assigned area of activity (currently 3 production lines) to meet production demand requirements whilst ensuring safety, quality and hygiene standards.

Skills:

  • Managing a large scale production area / multiple lines, ideally in a 24/7 environment, with proven results of improving line capability (efficiency, reduction of waste)
  • IOSH, with a strong appreciation of H&S
  • Experience of operating in a traditional employee relations climate / heavily unionised environment
  • Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management
  • Ideally you will have a Food Safety / Hygiene Qualification, but this isn’t essential as happy to consider people outside of the food / drink sector.
  • Ideally candidates will have a manufacturing excellence qualification / or be Lean Sigma Green Belt certified etc. This training can be provided for the right candidate.

Quality Manager Food Manufacturing

Skills:

As the Quality Manager you will lead, manage and develop the bakery quality department (circa 8 direct reports in total) in order to ensure that Burtons Biscuits produces food that is safe, legal, meets and exceeds internal & quality standards, customer specifications and COP. 

You will support the Quality & Food Safety Manager to instil a quality culture throughout the site, supporting the operations team to develop robust corrective action plans for quality improvements. 

To work effectively and ensure that Food Safety, Integrity, Quality and Legality are maintained within the business.

You will need previous experience previous experience of working within Food Manufacturing in a Quality or Technical related role. Leadership experience is key as you will be responsible for managing a team. HACCP & Food Hygiene Level 3 is a must, along with knowledge and experience of BRC.  

It is highly desirable that you have strong knowledge of the top 5 retailer audit systems and have some customer facing experience.  

What is equally important is that you can work at pace, are a team player with strong communication skills.
